Account Registration Information: When a parent (the “Primary Parent”) creates a family account, we collect their email address, password, and name.
Profile Information: The Primary Parent may create individual profiles for family members, including:
- First name and age of each child
- First name of the second parent (if applicable)
- Avatar images (which can be uploaded or created using the device camera)
Usage Data: We collect data on how users interact with the App, such as completed stories, quiz scores, diamonds earned, scheduled lessons, and passed stories.
Device Information: We collect information about the device and operating system used to access the App.
Analytics: We use Firebase and Google Analytics to understand user behavior and improve the user experience.
Microsoft Clarity: We partner with Microsoft Clarity to capture how you use and interact with our app through behavioral metrics, heatmaps, and session replay to improve and market our app. App usage data is captured using first and third-party cookies and other tracking technologies and we use this information for app optimization. 2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

To provide and maintain the App’s core features, including personalized family profiles, scheduling educational content, and gamified learning progress.
To allow parents to assign stories and track children’s progress via the “Schedule” feature
To allow family members to share stories with each other via the “Pass” feature.
To improve our services through internal analysis and development.
To communicate with the Primary Parent regarding account activity or support inquiries.

3. Data Storage and Hosting

We store audio files on servers located in the United States. Other application data may be processed and stored on servers located in the European Union, depending on infrastructure and availability. We take appropriate measures to ensure that all data transfers comply with applicable data protection laws.

4. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with service providers strictly as necessary to operate the App (e.g., analytics tools), under confidentiality agreements.

5. Children's Privacy
Papiroo is designed for use by families with children ages 7 to 18, though use by younger children is permitted under parental supervision. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent as required under the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Parental consent is obtained when the Primary Parent creates profiles for children.

6. User Access and Deletion

Only the Primary Parent may delete the entire family account. Upon deletion, all data associated with the family and its members will be permanently removed from our systems, except as required by law.
You may delete your data via the “Delete My Account” feature in the App.

7. Future In-App Purchases
While the current version of the App does not include in-app purchases, future versions may offer paid features. Any such changes will be communicated via an updated Privacy Policy and Terms of Use. Continued use of the App after such updates constitutes your acceptance.

8. Data Security
We use commercially reasonable physical, administrative, and technical safeguards to protect your data. However, no system is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with a new effective date. Continued use of the App following any updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Policy.
